Stay Hatin'

This is the best rap podcast out there.

Every week @SergDun, @matthewafrica & @soft_money give listeners some of the deepest/weirdest/most ignant raps on the internet. Their commentary is great too.

A few weeks ago Matthew Africa passed away from a car accident. It's weird how close you can feel to these guys just from listening to them bullshit with each other over music. Compared to anyone really famous who passed away, I was much more deeply affected by Matthew Africa's death. My deepest condolences go to his friends and family.

The show is still alive and strong. Subscribe on itunes or listen here

Weird TV with Bill Kemmler

Our buddy Bill has a public access show in Hartford(?) Connecticut. He's only posted 3 episodes to youtube, but they are great. My Favorite is probably the episode with Fast Eddy.

Riki-Oh

This movie is ridiculous and violent and ridiculously violent. If you enjoy over the top silly 80's animation gore then this is your bag. If its not, and you are remotely squeamish then I suggest you avoid. This is on Netfix. Shout out to Bill for the tip.

Regular Show

A few weeks ago my cousin put me on to this show. I was skeptical, but it's really good. So take 10 minutes and give it a shot.

You can find more episodes here.

Action Bronson - The Symbol

Dirty Flicks: Tokyo Drifter (1966)

Man, I don't even know what to say this movie was so dope. I know it's old as fuck, and sometimes that is a deterrent for me to check out a movie, but I am super glad I was not deterred this time around. The only thing that was annoying about this movie being old was that they played the same song about 400 times. It's a good song the 1st time, but just like all old movies they play it out like crazy.

I don't want to give away too much about this movie, but I will say that it is obviously of heavy influence on "Kill Bill" - a japanese western. It is a gangster flick about a group of former yakuza gangsters that want to go legit, but are continuously tormented by the gangs that know of and want to take advantage of their reformation. The aesthetics are beautiful, the action/suspense/plot are all great. If you don't like reading subtitles then you'll have a problem, but I must say the translations are great in text format. Through out the movie the gangsters are always calling each other "bro" (and it totally works!).

See the whole thing here.

Little Kids in Rap Videos

If you can think of more, let me know.

4-EVER FRESH

"Urban Sound Surgeon" is a really fresh name for a group. Anyway, this song has some lines that have been used through and through in hip-hop.

"create rap music cause I never did disco"

"Holy calamity scream insanity all you'll ever be is just another big fan of me"
