Dirty Flicks: Tokyo Drifter (1966)

Man, I don't even know what to say this movie was so dope. I know it's old as fuck, and sometimes that is a deterrent for me to check out a movie, but I am super glad I was not deterred this time around. The only thing that was annoying about this movie being old was that they played the same song about 400 times. It's a good song the 1st time, but just like all old movies they play it out like crazy.

I don't want to give away too much about this movie, but I will say that it is obviously of heavy influence on "Kill Bill" - a japanese western. It is a gangster flick about a group of former yakuza gangsters that want to go legit, but are continuously tormented by the gangs that know of and want to take advantage of their reformation. The aesthetics are beautiful, the action/suspense/plot are all great. If you don't like reading subtitles then you'll have a problem, but I must say the translations are great in text format. Through out the movie the gangsters are always calling each other "bro" (and it totally works!).

See the whole thing here.
