i found out about max klinger from an interview with julie speed, who cited his graphic works with fairy tales as an influence to her own work.
i saw some cool julie speed paintings during SXSW this past spring at a printmaking workshop in east Austin while some fool was performing some party jams with his ipod and we were all drinking free beer and eating free pizza!
